A delivery agent collects your order at the pickup you requested and brings it back cleaned, pressed and packaged on your delivery date. Request the pickup for a time that works for you in the Avon Cleaners app or your web account, and choose the drop-off date the same way. You get a text when the order is ready, with what it came to, and the card on your account is charged after the cleaning is done, never before. Route orders go through the same inspection, dry cleaning and hand finishing as anything handed over a counter, and the same people do the work.
How do I schedule a first pickup?
Create a profile in the Avon Cleaners customer portal or the Avon Cleaners app for iPhone, add a card, and request your first pickup for a time that suits you. Put the items in a bag by your door at that time, and the delivery agent takes it from there. After the first order, every pickup is a tap in the app.
What happens if nobody is home?
You do not need to be at the door. Most route customers leave their order in an agreed spot and have it returned to the same spot: a porch, a side door, a building front desk or an office reception. Put the instructions in the notes on your account and the delivery agent follows them. If anything is unclear on the day, you can contact your delivery agent and your delivery agent can contact you.
What goes on the route, and what does not?
Everything Avon cleans goes on the route: dry cleaning, laundered shirts, wash dry fold and professional laundry, comforters, duvets, pillows, drapes, table linens and patio cushions, wedding gowns, sanitized rugs and floor mats, and commercial laundry for offices, salons and restaurants. Leather and suede go on the route too. They are collected with the rest of your order and sent to our specialty leather cleaner, so they come back on a later delivery than the rest. What the route does not do is same-day. Same-day service is for garments brought to a store before 9:00 am; a route order comes back on your delivery date.
How does it work for a Hillcrest Ave kiosk customer compared with a Lovers Lane counter customer?
One account runs all three ways in. A Hillcrest Ave customer can drop at the 24-hour kiosk one week and request a pickup the next, and both orders sit in the same app. A Lovers Lane customer hands items over the counter Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, or books a pickup. Pickup and delivery is the option for anyone who does not pass either store, and it costs nothing extra. An order comes back the way it went in unless you ask otherwise.
